Two hurt by robbers

SHEIKHUPURA, April 29: A dozen of armed men injured two members of a family during a dacoity bid in Shejowal village in the jurisdiction of Sharaqpur police here on Tuesday.

The gun-toting men entered the house of Jaffar Husain and collected cash and gold ornaments worth Rs400,000. They injured housewife Bashiran Bibi and Mansoor on resistance and fled with the loot.

SUICIDE: A labourer committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train in Imamia Colony here on Tuesday.

Akram, 40, was upset owing to financial problems.

STABBED: Manzoor was stabbed to death allegedly by colleagues Asghar, Sardar and Ashraf over a petty dispute in Maqboolpur village.
