FAISALABAD, April 28: The Punjab government will soon revamp the board of managements of the Allied and District Headquarters Hospitals besides allocating funds for their different development projects.

Punjab senior minister Raja Riaz Ahmed said during a briefing by the incumbents of the Allied and DHQ hospitals here on Monday.

He said the government would make arrangements for the installation of two CT scan machines at the Allied Hospital during the current financial year and funds would also be earmarked for on-going as well as new development schemes.

The minister asked the officials to make arrangements for developing a computerized system for issuance of slips to patients at the OPDs.

During a visit to the emergency wards, Mr Riaz asked doctors to extend treatment to patients immediately and don't waste time in following police procedure in emergency cases. He also directed the hospital administrations to extend and air-condition the waiting rooms.

He also sought details of the problems facing the two hospitals.
