GUJRANWALA, April 27: A joint team of food department and police on Sunday impounded five wheat-laden trucks and registered a case against two food inspectors and five drivers.

Reports said the food department along with police raided Baigpur and seized five trucks laden with wheat which was being smuggled to Peshawar. Tatlaywali police have registered a case against food inspectors Rahat and Latif and truck drivers Yasin, Inayat, Usman, Irfan and Faisal. Truck drivers have been arrested while food inspectors managed their escape. —Correspondent
