24 constables dismissed

ATTOCK, April 25: The district police officer (DPO) Attock Tariq Hanif Joiya on Friday dismissed 24 newly recruited constables who remained absent from their duties despite repeated reminders/show cause notices while services of three police officials including a sub-inspector were also suspended on public complaints.

As per district Police headquarters, the departmental reminders were issued with regular interval on the postal addresses of all 24 absent police recruits but they did not turn up on their job.

Ultimately, such misconduct led to dismissal from their services.

So far 49 recruits have been dismissed in the period of two months. Earlier, on March 19, 25 police recruits were expelled from their services by the DPO for remaining absent from their duties despite reminders.
