KARACHI, April 25: President General Pervez Musharraf will perform the ground-breaking ceremony of the Lyari Expressway and Karachi Northern Bypass projects on Saturday.

In view of the increasing pressure of traffic, the government has approved both the projects in order to ease traffic congestion along inter-city routes and to improve the quality of life.

The government has allocated Rs500 million for the Lyari Expressway Project and awarded the contract to the NHA.
