PESHAWAR, April 21: Four children were killed and their mother was injured when some people barged into their house in Regi area early Monday morning and opened fire on them.

The children were identified as Palwasha, 13, Naureen, 5 Neelo, 3, and two-month-old Waqar Ahmed. The woman, Gul Nizara, wife of Wali Mohammad, of Salar Qila was taken to hospital

A police official said the woman had not nominated anyone in the case. In her statement, she said her husband was a labourer and had gone to Karachi. She said he had been informed about the incident and the accused would be nominated after his arrival.
