Jubilation fire kills girl
KASUR, April 17: A minor girl was killed and another injured seriously when guests resorted to aerial firing during a marriage procession here on Thursday in Chunnian police limits.
Reports said some of the friends of groom Javid started firing in air to celebrate the occasion. The bullets hit Hameeda (7) who died on the spot while Shahban (8) sustained serious injuries. The injured girl was admitted to Civil Hospital, Chunnian.
ARRESTED: Mustafabad police claimed on Thursday to have arrested two men who had allegedly killed three members of a family, including a minor boy.
Police also recovered the bodies of Javid Akhtar and his wife, Nazeeran Bibi, which were dumped at Katlohee Khurd village and shifted them to a morgue for an autopsy. The body of their son Ali (8) was yet to be recovered.
All the three victims had gone to the house of accused Shahid, a brother-in-law of Nazeeran Bibi on March 16, where they were axed to death.
