BAHAWALPUR, April 17: Twenty-three reemployed officials of the Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB) were shown the door under the Punjab government’s directive, it is learnt.
A majority of them were retired and ex-servicemen and had been appointed by vice-chancellor Prof Dr Belal A Khan during his tenure.
The sacked officials included Rahim Yar Khan sub-campus director Col Mahboob Shah (retired), Bahawalnagar sub-campus director Maj Muhammad Anwar (retired), security in-charge Maj Muhammad Saqib (retired), deputy administrative officer Chaudhry Nazir Ahmed and 11 members of the teaching faculty.
