JACOBABAD, April 17: The district council on Thursday decided that its Friday session would consider and fix the date for vote on no-confidence move against District Nazim Begum Saeeda Soomro.
The session was presided over by Convener Changez Khan Panhwar.
Abdul Sattar Brohi, a council member, moved the no-confidence motion, which was backed by Noor Ahmed Jakhrani and convenor said that the council’s Friday session would consider the move and fix date.
The council expressed displeasure over adverse law and order situation in the district, demanding restoration of peace and an end to street crimes.
Rafiq Ahmed Soomro demanded reduction in fee for potable water connection, which had been fixed by the district nazim at Rs1,500.
The session unanimously fixed water connection fee at Rs200 and monthly fee at Rs100 and cancelled the development schemes which were passed a few months ago.
The members also offered fateha for the departed soul of late Benazir Bhutto.
