LAHORE, April 4: Governor Khalid Maqbool met Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) officials on Friday to review a merit policy to fill the available vacant posts in public departments in the last year at Governor’s House here on Friday.
The meeting also reviewed the performance of candidates appeared in the competitive examinations, new graduates’ mental aptitude with regards to improving education standard and progress on the process of giving more monitory autonomy to the PPSC. Eleven commission members attended the meeting.
PPSC Chairman Tariq Sultan presented the commission’s annual report-2007 to the governor.
Mr Maqbool said the merit policy had provided an opportunity to thousands of youths to excel through civil services.—APP
