ISLAMABAD, April 1: A man was killed when his pistol went off accidentally as he was cleaning the weapon, police said here on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Jan, 24, a fruit and vegetable vendor hailing from Afghanistan.

After hearing a loud bang, Mohammad Jan’s mother and his neighbours rushed to his rescue and found him lying on the floor with blood oozing out of an abdomen wound profusely.
