KARACHI: Enmities claim lives of three men

KARACHI, March 25: Three people were killed on Tuesday over personal enmities in different parts of the city, witnesses and police said.

A 60-year-old man was shot dead near his house in Dunba Goth off the Super Highway.

Identified as Nihal Bugti, the victim was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where he was pronounced dead.

Hospital sources said the victim was shot to his head from a very close range as the bullet went through his skull.

Memon Goth police said the elderly man was shot dead over some personal feud.

The area SHO, Inspector Pervez Khan Bangash, told Dawn that the victim’s son, Din Mohammed Baloch, had lodged the case against six attackers.

He said the complainant named Bajla Bugti, Mangal Bugti and Dimko Bugti as suspected attackers who along with three unknown culprits killed his father.

The SHO said the police seized three spent bullet casings from the spot.

He said that no arrest was made so far and that the police were making efforts to track down the suspects.

Young man found shot dead

A 22-year-old man was found shot dead on Tuesday morning near Teen Hatti.

Jamshed Quarter police said Shakir Baloch, son of Wahid Shazada Baloch, was found shot at around 7.30am near the Government Primary School in Jamshed Quarter police area.

They said the victim, who had recently returned from Dubai, received a single bullet that pierced through his right jaw.

The police said the young man was killed over personal enmity as his father had lodged the case against three suspects.

They said Khan Mohammed, Jameel and Sharif were named in the FIR, but none of them was so far arrested.

Stabbed to death

A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death over a monetary dispute in New Karachi Industrial Area police limits.

The body of Shahid, son of Nisar, was moved to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Sources said the victim had received multiple stabs in his abdomen.

The police said the young man was allegedly killed by Yaqoob, who was arrested along with the weapon he used in the offence.

The police said the suspect was the owner of a provision store in Sector 11-E and he had a monetary dispute with the victim.
