HYDERABAD, March 15: Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate-IV here on Saturday sentenced two police constables to 18 months in jail and fine of Rs5,000 to each in an unlicensed weapon case.
It was learnt the two fled from the court after sentence was pronounced.
Hussain Shah, Munshi of Qasimabad police station and Ali Nawaz Panwhar, a police constable were facing trial in an unlicensed weapon’s case. They were booked under section 13-D of Arms Ordinance.
The court sentenced them to 18 months in prison and a fine of Rs5,000 each. In case of default of payment of fine they would undergo another one month in jail.
It was learnt that they fled from the court. However, no case was lodged with Cantonment police.
