KASUR, March 8: Two friends were shot dead by bandits near Rao Khanwala village in Raja Jang police precinct on Friday night.

Reports said four friends —Aslam, Tariq Shah, Asif Shah and Ali Shah—were going towards Zafarke village after enjoying Basant. Near Rao Khanwala, some bandits stopped their car (LWC-744) and tried to snatch from them cash and cell phones. On resistance, the bandits opened fire, killing Aslam and Tariq Shah. The other two, however, remained unhurt as the bandits fled soon afterwards. The Raja Jang police registered a case.
