LAHORE, March 6: The PML-Q has decided to take action against two Punjab MPAs-elect for violating party discipline and changing loyalties. The party will approach the Election Commission (EC) for necessary constitutional and legal action against them.
This was stated by PML-Q Central Parliamentary Leader Pervaiz Elahi, while talking to a delegation of the party’s women’s wing here on Thursday.
He said the action would be taken against all such members who had changed loyalties and violating party discipline so that democracy and democratic institutions could not be damaged. He said strict action would be taken within the party against all those members who were trying to change their party loyalties.
He said PML legislators would cooperate with the new government for the continuity of prosperity and development, which was started by the PML-Q in its five-year tenure.
He said the PML-Q would keep a close eye on all measures being taken by the government and “anti-people” steps would not be allowed at any cost.
