KARACHI: LNH paramedics stage sit-in

KARACHI, April 16: A number of paramedics of the Liaquat National Hospital (LNH) on Tuesday evening staged a sit-in within the premises of the hospital to protest against the alleged highhandedness of the hospital administration and to press for acceptance of their demands, the office-bearers of the Employees Welfare Association of the institution said.

They demanded of the LNH administration to initiate action against those allegedly involved in highhandedness against the employees.

They alleged that a couple of days ago a security officer of the hospital had beaten up an employee, identified as Ejaz Burney, who was take to a hospital for treatment. They stated that two hours after the incident the services of Ejaz were terminated by the hospital administration.

The hospital authorities could not be contacted for comments.—APP
