ISLAMABAD, March 6: Syed Mustafa Hussain Zaidi, father of Dawn News bureau chief in Islamabad Mubashir Zaidi, died in Islamabad on Thursday morning.

He was suffering from renal failure but his condition worsened on Wednesday after a stroke.

Mr Zaidi was taken to the Islamic International Hospital where he died in the wee hours of Thursday.

He retired as director public relations of the defunct Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan in 1997. Mr Zaidi, 70, is survived by seven children and a wife.—Staff Reporter
