Gunbattle leaves three dead

JACOBABAD, Feb 22: Three men were killed in a clash between two groups of Shar tribe in Geehalpur, Kashmore district on Friday.

Reports said that rival groups restored to firing after exchanging hot words. As a result, one Nazroo Shar, Pandhi Shar and Mujeeb Shar died on the spot. The motive behind the clash is said to be a dispute over a piece of land.

Police claimed that Nazroo Shar was a notorious dacoit.

Meanwhile, a youth Amjad Brohi 18, was kidnapped from a hotel in the jurisdiction of Garhi Khairo, Jacobabad, on Friday. Reports said that Amjad was sitting in a hotel when four armed men pulled up their car and kidnapped him.

Our Shikarpur correspondent adds: A guard of Garhi Yasin drainage pumping station was kidnapped by armed men late on Thursday night.

A bandit was arrested by the police after a truck hit him during robbery.
