The aggrieved parties must be compensated, said the Jamhoori Watan Party leader, who had remained hostage at safe houses of intelligence agencies for over a year.
Talking to newsmen at the press club here on Thursday, he said that the issues pertaining to Balochistan could be resolved through talks, and expressed the hope that the new government would take steps to win over the Baloch people and bring them into mainstream.
He said that the masses had given the Pakistan People’s Party, the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) and the Awmi National Party mandate against President Musharraf and his allies and the three parties should come up to expectations of the people.
He said that great responsibility lied with the PPP, PML-N and ANP after winning the general elections and expressed the hope that with sincerity of purpose and mutual cooperation, the parties would be able to extricate the country from crises it was confronted with.
He warned the victors to be aware of turncoats, saying that they would not leave any stone unturned to sabotage efforts of the future government to work for the welfare of the masses.
Mr Sasoli said that the people of Balochistan were justified in boycotting the elections as they have been subjected to “inhuman excesses.”
He said that harmonious relations and unity among the federating units was the need of the hour.
Answering a question about investigation into Nawab Akbar Bugti’s case, he said that it was up to the Bugti family and the JWP to take any decision on this issue.
