Tremors felt in Islamabad, other cities

ISALMABAD, April 12: An earthquake of moderate intensity was recorded by the seismological network of the Pakistan Meteorological Department on Friday.

According to the preliminary analysis of the Met Office, Peshawar, the earthquake occurred at 10am and its epicentre was about 300km northwest of Peshawar near the Hindu Kush Range.

The quake registered 5.6 on the Richter Scale, and was felt in Peshawar, Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.—NNI
