Governor visits Khanewal

MULTAN, April 12: Punjab Governor Lt-Gen Khalid Maqbool (retired) on Friday ordered carrying out of the analysis of material used in the under-construction library project at Khanewal, says an official release.

The governor issued these orders during an inspection of the Rs8 million library project after the bricks of a pillar detached from it.

Spending a busy day, he met with different delegations, inspected library project, visited DHQ Hospital, vaccination centre for children and the Government Girls College and Information Technology Centre.

Talking to members of delegations, he said, welfare of the people and prosperity of the country was the top priority of the government.

During his visit to the DHQ Hospital, the governor inquired about the condition of patients and ordered the SP to probe into a female patient complaint about the misbehaviour of the Jehanian police.

The governor also announced to start post-graduate classes in the Government College for Women during his visit to the college.—APP
