LAHORE, Feb 15: The Islami Jamiat Tulaba activists on Friday staged protest demonstrations in front of Masjid-i-Shuhada and outside the Punjab University against the publication of blasphemous caricatures in European newspapers.

The students, led by IJT Nazim Abdul Basit and PU Nazim Zahid Naveed, had held placards bearing inscriptions against the cartoonist as well as the European press.

They demanded that the government should register its protest against Denmark and suspend diplomatic relations with it.—Staff Reporter
