PARIS, Feb 14: France have filed a protest after their Fed Cup defeat by China this month, saying it was not normal that one of the Chinese players had left before the end of the tie.

China’s Peng Shuai left the tie after the opening Friday to prepare for the Paris Open starting on the following Monday.

France have written to the ITF to protest.—Reuters
