HYDERABAD: April 11: The supreme council of the Sindh Employees Alliance (SEA) has warned that if the government fails to give good response by April 15 to resolve the problems of the teachers and government servants, 300,000 employees will boycott the presidential referendum scheduled to be held on April 30.
A press release of SEA issued here on Thursday said that the decision to boycott the referendum was taken at the meeting of the supreme council held at Sukkur late Wednesday night.
The meeting pledged to continue the struggle unless the sacked teachers of Sukkur were reinstated, the transfer orders of teachers were cancelled, their victimisation was stopped and secretary education and EDO Sukkur, Rafia Naz, were removed.
The meeting, however, made it clear that in the larger interest of students, parents and education, classes or examinations would not be boycotted.
