KHAIRPUR, Feb 1: Three farmers were kidnapped from near Kandwara Dharejo village in the Pir Jo Goth area on Thursday night.

Nine armed men kidnapped four villagers — Naseer Rind, Anwar Rind, Sono Dharejo and Mureed Dharejo — who were asleep in their farm to guard harvested paddy stock. The kidnappers set Mureed Dharejo free and took the three others to the kutcha area.

After the incident, the number of people kidnapped from different parts of Khairpur district in January has risen to 11.
