Qasim Toori and Abid Ali, who are said to be associated with the outlawed Jundullah militant outfit, were produced by the investigation officer.
The IO submitted that they were involved in the Shah Latif Town encounter and caches of arms, ammunition and explosives were recovered from them or on intelligence provided by them.
They were required for further investigations and recoveries. They have been booked under provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code and the Anti-Terrorist Act.
While Abid said that his arrest was made while he was travelling in a bus, Qasim said he had been tortured in custody.
