KARACHI, Jan 28: Six ships carrying imported wheat, and to load rice, cement and kinno are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where 11 ships were berthed to unload and load containers, molasses, cement and palm oil. They are: Sima Sahba, Oel Sheryar, Bhum, Mol Admiration to unload and load containers, Polotus, to unload and load general cargo, Bunga Melati Dua, London Bridge, to offload steel coils, Pearl, to unload phosphate and Johwhat to load cement were berthed during the last two days.
Sailings were also active as 10 vessels departed, including Oriental Rose, Calvin P. Titus, Hanjin Qingdao, Emirates Neru, Hermia, Hertford, Oel Trust, Tiger Creek, Amiya Scan and Galaxy departed on Monday.
A total volume of 0.165m tons comprising 81,679 tons of export cargo, including 15,361 tons of cement and 3,702 tons of rice and 83,108 tons of import cargo was handled during the last two days.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Sirios, to load 24,000 tons of rice, Liberty Grace to unload 18,420 tons of wheat, Bodar, to load 35,000 tons of clinkers, Spica, to load 2,244 tons of kinno, Emerald Coral, with steel pipes and APL Sokhna, with containers.
