Four injured in clash

KHAIRPUR, Oct 22: Four persons were seriously injured on Sunday evening near Jhalooji in an armed clash between two groups of villagers.

Guns, sticks and axes were freely used in the clash as a result of which Fateh Ali Phulpoto, Yahya Khan, Muhammad Ali and Ghulam Hyder Phulpoto were seriously injured. Following the incident, Ahmedpur police have booked Moharram, Mehar, Banho, Zahid, Muhammad Nawaz and Ameer.

SUSPENDED: The SSP of Khairpur has suspended the SHO of police station Pir Jo Goth, Rahib Hussain Tunio, due to his failure to recover three persons of a family, Ajeeb, Sajid and Hakim, who were kidnapped a couple of months ago in village Moharram Larik.

Muhammad Aslam Langah has been appointed new SHO.

ARRESTED: Faiz Ganj police have arrested five more workers of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam in different villages.

The arrested persons were identified as Ahmed Ali Kubar, the Nazim of UC Setharja, Amanullah Kubar, Falak Sher, Abdul Khaliq Rajpar and Zamir.
