GHALANAI, Jan 16: Extending all-out support to the government in its fight against militancy and terrorism, the elders of Khowizai tribe set on fire a makeshift camp of militants in Mazrena area of Mohmand Agency on Wednesday.

The tribal elders and malaks of Khowizai, an influential tribe of Mohmand Agency, at a local jirga here decided to support the political administration and federal government in what they called the ongoing war against the militancy in the tribal area.

The local tribal jirga also decided to demolish houses of those tribesmen who were sheltering militants in the area. They said that the tribesmen of the Mohmand Agency were peace-loving people and would oppose any move by the militants which might indulge them in confrontation with law enforcement agencies.
