LAHORE, Jan 15: LPG prices on Tuesday surged to Rs120 per kilo following the closure of nearly 99 per cent shops in the city due to short supply and raids of CDGL squads for enforcement of retail price of Rs64 per kg.

LPG Distributors Association chairman Irfan Khokhar said gas prices had shot up because of a gap of 800 metric ton between supply and demand. The LPG firms were producing only 1,700 ton gas whereas the demand had increased to 2,500 ton.— Reporter
