LAHORE, Jan 15: The Kissan Board Pakistan (KBP) on Tuesday threatened to launch a protest campaign from Feb 18 if the government did not “reverse its anti-farmer” policies and put the agriculture sector back on financial and political priority list.
KBP President Sardar Zafar Husain said this at a press conference. He spoke over the areas of neglect, which had rendered the sector financially and commercially non-viable. Among them, the wheat target fiasco was the latest example of official non-seriousness about agriculture.
