LAHORE, Jan 13: Ex-foreign minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri has said that Pakistan’s nuclear programme is in safe hands and “we should not worry about it at all.”
Addressing a corner meeting here on Sunday, he said Pakistan was one of the strongest countries of the world in terms of defence and first atomic power among the Islamic countries.
“Pakistan will Inshallah thrive even if the USA does not help because now our resources have developed beyond a certain level. The country is facing many internal and external problems, and needs a government of national consensus in order to deal with them.”
Kasuri said even if a party was able to get majority in the national assembly with people from all the federating units, it should not forget others and must take them along on problems of national importance. —Staff Reporter
