KOHAT, Jan 13: The federal government has increased by 33 per cent the wheat quota for five flour mills to overcome atta shortage in 32 union councils of the district.

Kohat Assistant Coordination Officer Mudassar Riaz said each mill would provide 980 bags of 20kg to all union councils. The district would continue to get regular supply of wheat and flour from Punjab.

He said that flour would be sold through the district revenue staff, union council nazims and patwaris in mobile outlets and at fair price shops.

He said that the Shinwari Flour Mill would provide 200 bags daily to union council of Shakardarra Urban-I, 150 bags each in Shakardarra Rural-I and II, 200 bags in Lachi Urban and 100 in Lachi Rural, 90 bags in Surgul and 90 in Jarma.

The Aman Flour Mills would be responsible for providing flour to union council of Urban–I (150 bags), Urban-II (150 bags), Urban-II (230 bags), Urban-IV (150 bags), Mandoori (100 bags), Sumari (100 bags) and Sheikh Allahadad (100 bags).

The Al-Mansoor Mills had been asked to supply 240 bags to union council of Urban-V, Gumbat (200 bags), Togh-II (100 bags), Bilitang (200 bags), Khushalgarh (100 bags) and Dhodha (140 bags).

The Zahid Flour Mills will provide 230 bags to union councils of Urban-VI, Sudal (100 bags), Chorlakki (150 bags), Togh-I (200 bags), Kharmatoo (100 bags), Shahpur (100 bags) and Bahadar Kot (100 bags).

The Shahu Khel Mills will provide atta to union council of Nusrat Khel (200 bags), Alizai (100 bags), Mohammadzai (200 bags), Sherkot (100 bags) and Ustarzai (380 bags).
