GUJRANWALA, Jan 9: The Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) has failed to address consumers’ complaints of acute low pressure of gas in residential areas, particularly in Model Town and Satellite Town, despite disconnection of gas supply to over 300 units in small industries estate (SIE) here.
Household women prominently have protested the prevailing situation and demanded that normal gas pressure should urgently be restored.
Talking to Dawn on Wednesday, the consumers said that the SNGPL had reduced gas pressure for residential areas during peak hours because of which they felt a great deal of inconvenience in preparing food in morning as well as in the evening.
They said despite the company had severed connections of over 300 units in the SIE a week ago with the plea to fortify gas supply to domestic users, they had not been provided any relief as yet.
The consumers also complained that when they tried to contact senior SNGPL officers, their phone numbers were found busy.
Taking advantage of the situation, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) dealers and wood sellers have inflated the prices of LPG cylinders and wood.
