KOHAT, Jan 8: The local Taliban on Tuesday released a senior official of the Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees who was kidnapped in Darra Adamkhel with his six companions about two weeks ago.
Ibraheem Khattak, the district administrator of Afghan refugees, was coming to his hometown Karak, from Peshawar, when some men kidnapped him and his friends from a nearby Akhorwal area.
The sources said that the Taliban, first released him and later all the six captives, after negotiating a ransom deal.
