REFERENDUM: The PML-Q will support the presidential referendum to avoid martial law in the country.
This was stated by PML-Q vice-president Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri while talking to newsmen here on Wednesday.
He said if political parties opposed the referendum then president Musharraf could impose martial law in a similar way as Ayub Khan had handed over the power to general Yahya Khan. He opposed the condition of graduation for MPAs and said it should be withdrawn as this would oust the talented politicians from the mainstream politics.
