SARGODHA, Jan 4: Two people were killed while three others were injured in a shootout between two rival groups in Block 8 in city police precincts on Friday.

The shootout between assailants of Gujjar group and Dogar group in the city’s densely-populated and commercial area continued for half an hour, panicking the locals and passers-by.

Ajmal of the Gujjar group and Bashir of the Dogar group were killed while three others were injured in the clash.

Though the police station was a few yards away, the police reached the scene after the shootout was over.

The police have sent the bodies for autopsies and started investigation. — Correspondent
