Bandits injure trader

FAISALABAD, April 3: A gang of bandits on Tuesday night shot at and injured a trader and took away Rs75,000 in cash from him on the Millat Road.

Muhammad Asif was returning home from his shop when some bandits intercepted him, shot at and injured him on resistance and fled with Rs75,000 in cash.

The injured was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Area police are going into the matter.

Meanwhile, robbers made off with thousands of rupees in cash and valuables from visitors to Dr Naeem’s clinic in Chak 100-JB.

They also drove away with the doctor’s two-wheeler.

RESULT: The local district education on Wednesday declared the primary result which showed a pass ratio of 89.55 per cent.

Maryam Tahir of the Faisal Public Girls High School and Muhammad Saleem of the Muslim Model School, Satiana, shared first position by obtaining 238 out of 250 marks while Rimna Fayyaz of the Divisional Public School secured second position.
