LAHORE, Jan 2: “Losing Benazir Bhutto was like losing a sister,” said Moazzam, a labourer present at a candlelit vigil held in memory of the former prime minister at Data Darbar on Wednesday evening.

Dozens of labourers, lawyers, activists and PPP workers gathered in front of the shrine where violent protests took place after the assassination of the PPP chairperson in Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi on Dec 27.

“Everyone here feels her loss and is deeply saddened. If elections happen, I will be voting for the PPP,” Moazzam added.
