TOBA TEK SINGH, Jan 2: Three people were killed and as many sustained injuries in a collision between a car and a tractor-trolley near Sindhilianwali on Pirmahal-Abdul Hakim Road on Wednesday evening.

Reports said the speeding Jhang-bound car collided with a tractor-trolley as a result car driver Akhtar, Ghazanfar and Imtiaz were killed on the spot while Abdullah, Shahbaz and Imran suffered injuries.

The motorists, belonging to Kot Bahadur, were on their way home after attending a marriage ceremony. The injured had been shifted to Pirmahal hospital.

SUICIDE: A woman committed while her husband attempted suicide here on Wednesday over financial constraints at Chak 757-GB of Pirmahal.

Reports said Nadeem and his wife Farzana consumed poison.

The latter died while the former was stated to be critical at hospital.
