GUJRANWALA, Jan 2: At least 10 prisoners of the central jail were injured in a clash between two groups over maintaining hegemony in the barracks here on Wednesday.
Reports said that two groups, led by Safder and Asif, engaged in the clash in barrack No 9. Both groups attacked each other with plastic articles besides using kicks and fists.
The jail authorities resorted to baton charge and shifted the warring prisoners in separate barracks.
Jail superintendent Sikander Hayat got registered an FIR against over a dozen captives, including Safder, Asif, Abdul Rashid, Tanvir Ahmad, Sarfraz, Shauket, Asif Ashiq, Madni Akber, Ashfaq, Kamran, Mubasher and Munir.
