HYDERABAD, Oct 22: A central leader of Lashkar-i-Taiba (LT) Prof Hafiz Abdur Rehman Makki has said that America wanted to take over the possession of this region on the pretext of eliminating terrorist activities and added that “the trinity” was involved in aggression against Afghanistan, Pakistan and the entire Muslim world.

He was speaking at Jihad conference organized by the LT and other Jihadi organizations at Miran Mohammad Shah Road here late Sunday night.

Hafiz Makki said that President Bush was fearful of this region due to the Islamic forces and he was waiting for an excuse to attack the centres of Islam.

He said that President Bush had announced that it was a crusade and this had been proved from the fact that the attack on Afghanistan was launched on Sunday.

He said that the UK prime minister was in the forefront in this war to settle old scores with the Muslim world and for this purpose he had formed a war cabinet.

He said, similarly Russia was trying to avenge its ignoble defeat at the hands of Afghans while India had its own axe to grind in Kashmir and Israel was shivering with fear due to threat of Jihad.

He said all these powers were afraid that the Islamic atom bomb may not fall in the hands of Arabs.

He called upon the religious parties to forget their petty differences.

The Jihadi leader said that America would never be able to conquer Afghanistan but it had already conquered Pakistan by taking over the possession of our airports.

He said that our rulers had fallen prey to the expediencies and were only interested in foreign loans.

He said that the US had totally failed to give any proof against Osama bin Laden but added that even if some solid proof was produced, he would not be handed over to America.

In his opinion President Musharraf was supporting the US to prolong his rule.

He also severely criticized Gen Musharraf for appointing two women as ministers and giving women 33 per cent representation in local bodies.

He deplored that some women had also been inducted in judiciary and police and some of them had even been elected Nazims.

He warned that America had attacked Afghanistan after proper planning and added that this war could go on for ten years as USA wanted to take over the mineral resources of Tharparkar and oil of Badin.

The others who spoke at the gathering included Moulana Abdul Waheed Qureshi of Jamaat-i- Islami, Moulana Shabbir Ahmed Khan of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (S), Moulana Mohammad Yousuf Kasuri of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadees, Moulana Saeed Jadoon of SSP, Abu Rehman Saifullah Khalid of Dawat-ul-Irshad, Moulana Abdur Rasheed of Jaish-i-Muhammad, and Moulana Mohammad Younis Siddiqui of Majlis-e-Amal Ahle-Hadees.
