KARACHI, Dec 29: The All-Pakistan Tax Bar Association (APTBA) has asked the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend the last date of Dec 31 for filing of tax returns by at least 15 days.
The president of All-Pakistan Tax Bar Association, Naveed Andrabi, pointed out that the country was passing through a most critical period and due to extremely abnormal conditions, it was not possible for the taxpayers to meet the deadline of Dec 31.
All companies, private and public limited along with trusts, have to file their annual returns on Dec 31 of each year.
Former president of Institute of Chartered Accounts of Pakistan (ICAP), Shabbar Zaidi, urged the Federal Board of Revenue to extend the last date for filing of returns by limited companies which would help the government collect due revenue.
