KARACHI, Dec 11: A 23-year-old man was found shot dead in Green Town.

Shah Faisal police said a woman, identifying herself as Jamila, phoned police control and informed the operator that a man had committed suicide and his body was lying near a hospital in Green Town.

The body was shifted to the JPMC, where the victim was identified as Mohammad Rehan, son of Nizamuddin. Hospital sources said the victim received a single bullet that pierced his chest.

Police registered a murder case on the complaint of the victim’s brother, Mohammad Imran.

Tracking down the caller who was identified as Shahida, they found that Shahida’s daughter Ambreen, a matric student, had an affair with the victim. Police took the woman and her teenaged daughter into custody for interrogation.
