Special trains for Eid

LAHORE, Dec 10: Nine special trains will be run during the ‘Eidul Azha operation’ starting from Dec 17. Railway officials said on Monday three trains from Karachi, two each from Rawalpindi and Quetta and one each from Lahore and Multan would be operated.

One train would be operated on the first day, three on the second day (Dec 18), four on the third day (Dec 19) and one on the fourth day (Dec 20) would take people to their hometowns.

On Dec 17, first special train will leave Quetta at 12:15pm for Rawalpindi.

On Dec 18, the second train would leave Quetta at 12:15pm for Rawalpindi, the third would leave Karachi at 1pm for Sargodha through Faisalabad and the fourth train would leave Karachi at 2:15pm for Peshawar.

On Dec 19, the fifth train would leave Karachi at 5:45pm for Rawalpindi through Lahore, the sixth non-stop train would leave Lahore at 9am for Rawalpindi, the seventh non-stop train would leave Rawalpindi at 4pm for Lahore while the eighth train would leave Rawalpindi at 5:15pm for Multan.

On Dec 20, the last Eid special would leave Multan at 11am for Rawalpindi. —Staff Reporter
