LAHORE, Nov 28: Foggy weather conditions improved in the city and elsewhere in Punjab on Wednesday, making travel less risky, especially early in the morning. Thick fog caused by dry weather, low night temperature and air pollution disrupted air, rail and road traffic on Tuesday morning. The local Met office said visibility increased to a minimum 200 metres at 8am as against merely 10 metres on Tuesday. The visibility finally improved at 11am.
The maximum temperature was 25.2 degrees C and the minimum 8 degrees C with 93 per cent humidity in the morning and 53 per cent in the evening.
The Met office said fog also blanketed cities like Risalpur, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Mianwali, Faisalabad and Shorkot, but it was not thick. It expected further improvement in the foggy conditions on Thursday because of a fast approaching westerly system.
