KARACHI, Nov 28: The Sindh High Court Bar Association has cancelled its annual dinner in protest against the continued confinement of (deposed) Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.

A press release issued by the association on Wednesday said the dinner was scheduled for Nov 11 but was postponed because of the detention of the chief guest, Justice Chaudhry, and the SHCBA President, Abrar Hasan. Though Mr Hasan has since been freed, the bar has decided to cancel the event, it added.—Staff Reporter
