PESHAWAR, Nov 24: Speakers at workshop-cum-annual meeting on ‘disability’ reviewed the performance of the Comprehensive Health and Education Forum (Chef) International. The forum is working on different eye care projects in different parts of the country.
Dr Mohammad Babar, Prof Shaad Mohammad, Dr Mohammad Amaan, Dr Sadiqullah, Dr Farah Deeba, Dr Javaid and others, while speaking at a local hotel, said the Chef was looking after the Institute for Blind Girls in Peshawar and provided services to the earthquake victims.
They said the programme was meant for 10 districts which includes two districts in Sindh (Umerkot and Hala), four districts in Punjab (Shakargarh, Khanival, Sargodha and Sahiwal) and three districts in the NWFP.
They said the programme, which was started in April 2005, would continue till December 2008.
The overall aim and goal of the programme is to prevent and reduce curable blindness in the districts in collaboration with the government and other stake holders.
