Shabbir, Saeed oust top seeds

KARACHI, Nov 22: Shabbir Gul of Hyderabad brushed aside top seed Rizwan Shamsi in a long semi-final, while in a quarter-final match M.A. Saeed eliminated second seed Tahir Gul, forming major upsets on the third day of the ninth PSO KC-Pakistan International Seniors Tennis Championship at Karachi Club on Thursday.

Shabbir displayed his supremacy over his opponent, winning the match 6-3, 6-3 to secure a place in the final.

It seemed seedings were working reversibly when the unseeded M.A. Saeed thrashed second favourite Tahir Gul 6-4, 6-2 to find a place in the last-four.
