KASUR, Nov 14: A mill owner and his two gunmen shot dead a worker for demanding wages here on Tuesday night near Gulberg Colony.
Report said Iftikhar Ahmad, an employee of a yarn unit, did not return home till late night. His father Muhammad Sharif went to the mill and saw Iftikhar Ahmad, owner Ahmad Ali and gunmen Arshad Ali and Shahbaz Ahmad exchanging hot words over the issue of wages. The gunmen shot dead Iftikhar in the presence of his father. The accused managed to escape. Police are investigating.
NAZIM MURDERED: A union council nazim was killed by his rivals here on Wednesday while a convict was found dead under mysterious circumstances in district jail.
Reports said Bhopewal UC nazim Chaudhry Maqsood Ahmad was on his way to his village by his car when his rival Aslam and others shot him dead.
